    On Thursday, April 12 from 1-3pm, our Division Showcase session will feature a panel discussion led by Don Deshler, Learning Disabilities After the Reauthorization: Building Consensus. 

    The annual business meeting starts at 5pm on Thursday in Mineral Hall A at the Hyatt Regency Denver.  After the meeting, join us for a reception and student poster session from 6-8pm in Centennial A.

  • There's a new entry in TeachingLD's Expert Connection feature. It's easy to miss with all the other newness around here! We are pleased to have Professor Sheri Berkeley of George Mason University answer a question about using self-questioning in reading. Check her answer. While you're there, take a few minutes (or a couple of hours!) to review some of the classic entries in the Expert Connection feature. You can find quick and practical advice about topics ranging from helping kids get organzied to using CBM and these features are written by a veritable who's who of people in LD including B. Billingsley, F. Brigham, C. Espin, D. Fuchs, L. Fuchs, J. Lindstrom, L. Mason, P. Pullen, K. Rooney, and J. Torgesen.

  • New Policy notes available! David Bateman, chair of DLD's Policy Committee has been plying a path back and forth between Pennsylvania and Washington, DC, keeping an eye on what's happening in legal, legislative, and related areas.   • Take a few minutes to peruse the pictures of folks attending the Balto conference back in October 2010!

  • DLD is pleased to announce that Jennifer Krawec of Missouri State is the recipient of the 2011 Dissertation Award. This award recognizes individuals who have conducted outstanding doctoral-level research in the field of learning disabilities. Read about Professor Krawec's award in the news!
